My friend Starla posted this recipe on Facebook last week, and I couldn’t help but snatch it up and make it myself! She got it from Six Sisters, which is an awesome website! It taste just like an orange creamsicle with bits of fruit in it.. I changed it up a little, I didn’t add the Banana, but I added candied pecans for a crunch! It’s delicious and would make a great dessert or side dish!
You will need,
-1 large package Cook and Serve vanilla pudding
-1 large package orange jell-o
-2 cups water (Optional, I used the juice from the canned fruit instead of water!)
-1 16 oz Cool-Whip/whipped cream (lite or fat-free is fine)
-1/2 bag mini marshmallows
-1 can pineapple tidbits, drained (Any size can, depending on your preference)
-1 can mandarin oranges, drained (Any size can, depending on your preference)
-2 bananas, sliced (Optional, put in before serving so they don’t turn brown in the fridge)
-1 1/2 cups candied pecans (or any nut you like best)
First, I drained the oranges and the pineapple into a measuring cup, 2 cups worth.
Mix together pudding, Jell-o, and juice/water over medium heat until it boils.
Put the drained fruit in the fridge to chill.
You will know the pudding is done by the consistency, it’s like a really thick syrup, and sticks to the spoon. Remove from heat and pour into a bowl.
Refrigerate until mixture has thickened (about an hour). Beat until creamy. Fold in Cool Whip/whipped cream, marshmallows, nuts and fruit. Chill about an hour before serving, overnight is even better.

This sounds really good.

In the 60′s and 70′s this was a church staple for potlucks in my part of the country – I know because that’s what they always asked my mom to bring…..not much cooking involved in this and mom was a “career woman” and not a “homemaker”. It’s really very good and I haven’t thought of it in a very long time. That might be a nice treat to fix for mom and her domino posse. Thanks!
Your welcome! I had never had it before! My Mom always made the ‘pink fluff’ one with cherry pie filling and pineapple.
That sounds even better – with some marshmallows and pecans!
That’s how she likes it.
She uses condensed milk with the pie filling and pineapple, then folds in everything else.. It’s really yum. We make it every Christmas.
Oh YUMMY! This is all guten free too. That will make a refreshing dish in this heat! Thanks!!
Your very welcome.
